Anita's Breast Size

Hello first time poster to the comm, though long time reader. Still read the books too, though I'm not sure why anymore. But at least I just borrow from a library, not actually buy.

Anyway....I just got Affliction from my local library, and I didn't even get to the 50 page mark when I hit what struck me as a WTF moment today...a where did theat come from moment. I guess I'll put it behind a cut, to avoid spoiling...it has to do with Anita's breast size.

On page 21, when she is having a phone conversation with Nathaniel, it is announced Anita is a triple E breast size. My eyes just about fell out of my head, because I don't remember ever reading her size before, but that just seemed...well it makes me think of a friend who was writing a Mary Sue, and kept making the mary sue's breasts bigger, so that her Mary Sue would have the biggest chest out of all the other females.

The conversation even went on to state how Nathaniel hadn't thought a woman could have that big a cup size and be as lean as Anita WIHTOUT Surgical help. To Which Anita responded how genetics is a wonderful thing.

I don't know if I'm making too much of this...but I scanned through the community to see if anyone had mentioned this, cause I would love to see others comments on it. Again maybe it's just me thinking that weird or a wtf moment, but it seems so much like that Mary Sue girl I mentioned, the one who kept referencing chest size whenever possible, and making the breasts bigger anytime she felt threathen that another character MIGHT be considered bigger than her sue's. So because of that experience, it stuck out to me as weird.
