People keep asking, “What are you doing for your anniversary?”
“What we do every night. Love and enjoy time with each other!”

We are spending part of the night watching Gotham & Sleepy Hollow so the dogs can enjoy couch time with us, after all Sasquatch is thirteen this year, exactly as long as we’ve been married, so every year he gets to celebrate with us now is a bonus. We got him as a puppy that first year, so it seems fitting that our olden dogger gets some cuddle time along with Keiko and Mordor, who at six and two are newcomers to our pack.

Time to take the dogs out one more time, and then Jon and I get to go celebrate the rest of our anniversary just the two of us.

First: Brain's line is "The same thing we do every night". Yes, it's been over twenty years since their first appearance, and sixteen since they were taken off the air, but come on. They said it every episode. This is not hard.

Second: For the love of God, learn basic rules of grammar and punctuation. Commas do not work that way. Again, this is not hard.

Third: While I guess it's nice that LKH and Jon, her husband, Jon are comfortable enough to not feel the need to do anything special on their anniversary, and thirteen years isn't quite the milestone that ten or fifteen years is, but still - you'd think they'd do something to celebrate the occasion. I mean, at least go out and have a nice dinner or something.

If they did, it was probably because she kept bringing it up (along with how much better a poly- relationship is compared to icky, restrictive monogamy). Asking if they have any plans is less rude than going, "Yes, we know. You've mentioned it every day for the past week. WE KNOW."

We're supposed to be amazed that a married couple is celebrating their anniversary by having S-E-X. Wow, how incredibly edgy. As we know, LaLa is the only married woman in the US who actually enjoys having sex with her spouse.

This is one of those moments when I wish I could stop other people from liking the same things that I like.

Sasquatch is thirteen this year

Does anyone know what kind of dog Sasquatch is? I recently had to put down my thirteen-year-old German Shepherd when she went into heart failure, and it was a very tough thing to do. I really hope Laurell doesn't have to go through the same thing, but I feel like it's a constant worry in the back of your mind when you have an older dog.

I think Sasquatch is the pug? Wikipedia says their average lifespan is thirteen, hopefully he is still in good health. It probably is a constant worry. (My cat turned 11 this year and it started being a concern for me as soon as I realized she needed senior cat food)
