Since I'm having a slow week, I thought I'd poll the lashers on what was the book where you stopped reading. I realize that some are still reading (tenacity, you haz it).

I stopped with Cerulean Sins. I may, one day, have to start up reading again, but that day has not yet come, and I am grateful for that.

Cerulean Sins also holds the title of "Only book I have ever thrown at the wall." I don't like to mistreat books and am one of those people who don't even crack the spine.

Looking back, I feel like the first few Dresden books are mostly setting things up to get knocked over in later books.

One distinct advantage they have over the AB books, though - continuity/consequences. Stuff that happens at the end of book 3 was still being dealt with in book 12.

Also, book 7 has the most awesome thing ever put to page. I won't say any more, to avoid spoiling the epic-ness.

OMG I know exactly what you're talking about in book 7. That still is one of my favorite literary moments of all time.
