I'll go over some things people called writer's block. First, out of ideas. Can't help you there, I'm one of those writer's that is blessed with ideas.

Blessed is not the word.

Second, too many ideas can't decide what to write.

Pick something, anything. Don't worry if it's a good idea

We all know where this leads, don't we?

But if you don't run the idea up the flag pole you'll never know if someone salutes, or not.

act as if you believe that this idea you're writing is brilliant.

Act as if all the negativity isn't there

This is way too easy. "Pretend your characters are your little friends, and they love you. I mean, the main character. They love the main character."

The whole notion of LKH telling us how to overcome writer's block, when she needs a case of it REALLY BAD, is hilarious. The rest of the blog is all about the power of positive thinking.

If I had cronies and editors and brainless fangirls kissing my ass and telling me it tasted like chocolate, I'd be pretty positive too.

Bleah.

I love how when she says stuff about acting positive and pretending everything is good...it just makes it so easy to mock her. I mean, talk about rose colored glasses, there.

See, I think LKH *does* have writer's block, which is why the series has gone so horribly downhill. She *used* to have brilliant plots, murders, mysteries, characters, and then she ran out of ideas and is desperately filling the space with sex in the hopes that it'll all come back.
