title: "Weird, but true"
author: LKH (her words in boldface)
I'm only attacking the second paragraph, because I don't know even know where to start with the first.
See, even monster hunting with Edward isn't as fun as it used to be because we all have responsibilites and people we care about.
Uh... how would we know? (Aside from the fact that EDWARD DOESN'T EXIST, and all those other obvious arguments.) When was the last time we saw Edward? No, LKH, you know why monster hunting with Edward isn't fun anymore? Because you stripped away all the coolness of the character, and you won't let him hunt the most horrible monster you've made: Anita.
I cry when [my imaginary friends] hurt. I worry over their personal lives. I grieve when they loose someone. I cannot imagine actually loosing one of them at this point. I think it would break my heart.
How can you grieve when they "loose" someone? Even if you forgive her habitual typo, when was the last time someone LOST anyone? Honestly? To digress, the cast is sorta like the later levels of the SW-Lego game: you're trying to move around, but you've collected too many people so there are too damn many people in your way. YOU CAN'T MOVE.
I guess one point is accurate though. Since Anita is eternally "tight", I guess LKH really "cannot imagine actually loosing one of them at this point". It's a self-fulfilling typo!

Date: 2005-07-21 12:18 am (UTC)I just read that blog entry in its entirety and all I can say is that Edward fans are going to be frothing at the mouth with rabid rage. *weeps*
Can the real Edward please kill this pod-Edward? *puts up LOST posters to try and find real!Edward*
I don't care if she's got mild dyslexia - going back over what you've written and realising that, "Latter" should be "later" and oh yes, "loose" should be "lose" is what the left eye, the right eye and the connection to the brain are for. Spelling might be correct, but current grammar conventions regarding those words hasn't changed in a while. Like, way back in her day when all she had to write with was a chalk and a lump of rock. *woe*
I suggest we kidnap her and get her awaaay from the computer. I don't mind talking about fictional characters like they're real - but this is blurring the lines just a tad too far. My advice: get over it. But that's probably not going to happen. Cuz z0mg im teh ebil, and she's perfeck liek whoa.

Date: 2005-07-21 12:42 am (UTC)This:
"I can't stop being who I am just because I love them, Anita. What do you need? It must be bad for you to call me, and be this worried.
...is probably the saddest thing I've read in a while. What LKH doesn't realize is that it's not her characters that speak to her, but her that's speaking through them. And what she has to say, very few people care about. Why is AB so popular? Because sex, no matter how badly written, sells. Especially if you package it under another name, so people who are afraid to buy real erotica can read it too.
And Anita's guilt, advice and mental marathons? Is LKH's way of convincing herself that she didn't sell out. There's no other explanation for the inner conflict. LKH's or Anita's.
This morning, Edward came up in a conversation. The name, not the character. And it got me craving an AB book. So I started browsing the old books, but I couldn't finish a chapter. Because whenever I read Anita, I overanalyze anything she says, thinks or does...
Does anyone know if there's good AB fanfiction out there? I need it.

Date: 2005-07-22 09:12 am (UTC)Personally, when I get one on me, I can write up to 10 chapters (each consisting of 10-20 pages).
Ah well...

Date: 2005-07-27 06:29 pm (UTC)Edward is dead. We all thought he would SAVE the series but did we actually think LKH wouldn't tamper with his character (oops, I mean 'life') as well? For shame on us all.
Ahem. Or, rather, the real Edward is staking out in LKH's mind and preparing for the perfect moment to blow a hole through her two-dimmensional head with a spike. Huzzah!
