Darla & LKH?

Please keep in mind that I know nothing about LKHs private life except that she has a daughter, has been divorced and is now married to Jon.

What is the deal with Darla? Is she living with LKH? [The reason I ask is because she seems to be pretty involved with LKHs private life.]
If anyone could point me towards articles or posts regarding this - or just tell me in the comments - I would be very thankful.
And: Why does LKH need a bodyguard? I know she write bad fiction, but I seriously doubt anyone would order a hit on her for that.

Darla was apparently a fan that LKH met at some convention and then was hired to be a personal assistant. At least part of her job duties include posting rants on Amazon.com and apparently throwing tantrums on other message boards.

Because she has to find a way to keep all her regular lovers on the payroll.

I'm pretty sure Charles the bodyguard=Cookie Monster, the bodyguard who became lion king when he screwed Anita.

The original story, as far as I can tell, is that a (singular, like one) fan confronted her in the bathroom at a con to tell her that LKH was screwing up her own books (once, one time). I don't think the original story came with actual violence, though it is possible.

This is the reason she has both a bodyguard and makes the cons clear out the restroom if she needs to use it. (because she was confronted, once, by one, singular, fan)
