Hahaha. I just spotted this in the archives of Fandom!Secrets Lj. Full disclosure link: http://community.livejournal.com/fandomsecrets/100858.html Number 4 on the list.

The question is, was this done by one of us? Wasn't me.. primarily because I have absolutely no art skills (photo-manip included).

It is a sentiment most of us feel. I know I got way too sick of Anita's abuse of the men in her life. Dub-con, non-con, metaphysically forced sex, and repressing sexual orientations do not create healthy relationships among sexual partners. Anita has developed her own Madonna/Whore complex so far it's barely recognizable. You can't treat your partners like crap and still claim to be the good guy. Eurgh.

As for the BDSM... I got nothin'. Not familiar enough with the scene to pass judgement, but judging by how blatantly unresearched the rest of the books are, I'm guessing it's rather shoddy.

Wait wait - leather tuxedos? I must had either stopped reading by that point or somehow blocked it out. Who was wearing one, when and for the love of god WHY?!

Jean Claude, and it was because he was out acting sexy for the crowds. Oh yes, and he had no shirt, and he had SILK SUSPENDERS. (Of course, Anita started practically humping his leg on the spot, because he could wear a dead parrot on a string and she'd be rhapsodizing about how sexy it is)

I seem to remember someone saying that he had borrowed Asher's costume from the Gay S&M Phantom of the Opera performance...

That's just beyond horrible. It also reminds me of this (http://kill.greboguru.org/index_files/book_data/anitablake.htm).

It's sad when the original is just about as ridiculous as the parody. Very sad.

That parody is just too funny!

Isn't it though? I actually thought it was a real excerpt until they got to the Super Saiyan part. I don't want to think about what that says about LKH's writing.

The Harlequin, I believe. Jean-Claude + spillingfrothylace shirt + leather tuxedo, with Nathaniel standing nearby in gold leather thigh-high boots and a single goldleather G-string*.

It was the only thing that could scrub the earlier "Nathaniel in leather trenchcoat and leather fedora" from my mind.

*And, goes without saying, Micah in a urine-coloured shirt.

O.O LKH's taste didn't just leave her, it ran away screaming. That's the kind of thing I'd expect out of an Austin Powers movie... if Austin Powers was gay.

I really have to wonder what LKH did to her Ken dolls as a child.
