Anita wakes up (cira before book 2), and realizes that she's really special because she had a vision of the future. And it was horrible. To take prevenitave measures, she kills JC for marking her. Life continues on for Anita, with a new mystery/murder or two, to solve every book, an occasional battle with vampires (in which she kicks ass, not screws it).
When she's around 40 (because she actually ages!), she realizes she's becoming too close to being like Edward, so she retires from vampire killing/solving murders, finds a nice normal human, settles down, pops out a kid or two, and lives the rest of her life happily ever after, with no crotch of doom, bad sex, over powered drama to ruin it. (Oh, and the afore mentioned visions of the future helps her keep track of her kids. That's it.) The End.
Well, if we had a good writer, and not LKH...
