LKH has said there is a limited amount of books she's going to write for Whorenita and apperantly she has a direction of some sort that it's supposed to going in. Honestly, I can't fathom what this might be considering there hasn't been any kind of plot direction since NiC other than her Pokemon-esque "Gotta Have'Em All!" mentality when it comes to preturnatural lovers.
"Jean Claude, I choose you! INFO DUMP ATTACK!"
"Ma Petite! Ma Petite!"
*cough* Er, sorry.
Anyway, what do you think is the ultimate fate of the Whorenita series? To settle down in the Circus with her harem of men? To surpass vampires as top of the food chain as her own species of Uber Supernatural? To rule the world through the Love of Crotch? To take over the position of the MOAD?

Date: 2007-12-13 11:21 pm (UTC)I think the police involvement will either vanish without a trace or Dolph will go nuts and get her disbarred as a marshal (or whatever the word would be). Possibly Richard will actually get kicked out of the triumvirate so we can have four hundred pages of wangst while Anita struggles pointlessly over whether she can actually be with JC without a metaphysical compulsion. With the development at the end of TH we can rest assured the MOAD will vanish for a few books so the sexxing can recommence, but eventually Belle Morte, MOAD and all other haters!female characters will be defeated with the power of True Love, possibly involving speeches not at all reminiscent of Dumbledore circa Order of the Phoenix.

Date: 2007-12-14 12:51 am (UTC)The way I saw it, the Council had been so successful for so long at doing so that they failed to recognize the threat Anita presented until too late (with a little connivance from Jean Claude in hiding just how powerful she'd become for his own devious reasons, chief among them securing his own fiefdom and safety from the Council). The early signs of "Anita Sue" is dismissed as evidence of just this long-term plot. Yes, she was gaining powers at an alarming rate, but that was (I imagined) the POINT--Necromancers are as scary to vampires as vampires are to us mere mortals and for pretty much the same reasons.
Alas, I saw more in that ink blot than was actually there.
