this barely qualifies as a mini rant but I need to get this off my chest. Damn... LKH has the worst taste in fashion ever.

Black mesh tank tops?
Little bitty jogging shorts?
Man thongs?
LEATHER man thongs?
Man thong BATHING SUITS? Really?

I'm becoming more and more convinced she is a straight man trapped in a woman's body.

Speaking of (sorta), does anyone else occasionally feel like they're misspelling 'loose' in it's proper context, because they're so used to seeing it incorrectly used, in place of 'lose'? xD

you make a good point. The clothes I mentioned are much more likely to appear in very gay music videos for very gay dance music (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2zvKnNr34xk) than anything meant for a straight man.

I saw this horribly hilarious music video from the 80's the other day, and I thought it was funny that the hunk in the video was the guy wearing the leopard-print speedo at the pool. And yes, I thought of LKH's fashion sense and how that would be sooo hot. *eye roll*

At the time I read TKD, I could not believe Anita would give it up to JC after he wore a shirt with cut-outs over his nipples (and the little matter of his blackmail). Then I realized that's exactly why she'd do him.

Actually, I've known a couple-three guys who have looked good with long hair, but I've also known a few who look good with a shaved head, so it really depends on the person.

Will, however, totally agree on LKH's fashion sense . . .

Then there's this T-shirt picture (http://blog.laurellkhamilton.org/images/img_5645.jpg) of, according to LKH, Edward, Anita, Jean-Claude and Zerbrowski at a comic book convention. Anita has been painted into her clothes and has a T-shirt proclaiming her to be a federal marshall, which I'm sure no one who was looking at her would believe; Jean-Claude has overpermed hair as well as a frilly white woman's blouse that I last saw in my closet around 1982, and both the hair and the blouse make him look like his name should be Jeanne-Claudette; Zerbrowski seems to be wearing a short-sleeved tie-dyed garment that's a cross between a kimono and a Nehru jacket; and Edward is all dressed in black and keeping his face averted, as if to say, "I'm not with these people. Really. I've never seen them before in my LIFE."

My best friend looks pretty good in his long luscious hippy hair, but that picture still made me break down giggling.

LKH's fashion sense made me laugh even more. I managed to ignore it in the beginning when the books still amused me but now it's impossible.
