Nothing major, just a funny moment I thought that I'd share. I'm reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman right now, and on the back there are recommendations from other authors. One of them is from LKH, and it says:

"After finishing The Graveyard Book, I had only one thought-- I hope there's more. I want to see more of the adventures of Nobody Owens, and there is no higher praise for a book."

Yup. No higher praise than LKH liking it.

I'm sure actually it's just bad phrasing and she meant that the highest praise a book can get is readers wanting more, but the way it read gave me a giggle and I thought I'd pass it on ;)

I dunno, I suppose that the phrasing is a little pretentious, but then, recommendations on the back of books are always completley over the top.

My thought when reading it was more along the lines of, "yyyeeeah, I'm sure you do, but luckily some authors know better than to continue a story after it has reached its natural end. :P"

some authors just can't understand that it is reasonable to write Very Books and have them not be series, can they?

I always ignore praise on book covers. If 100 people offer critical comments and only 1 person offers praise, they'll print the praise. It's meaningless.

Does anyone follow her on twitter? I sometimes check her out, out of morbid curiosity, and sometimes her tweets are nothing more than retweeting Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer's tweets, or replying to them as if they were close friends. It's... disconcerting.

Nope. At least, they don't follow *her*. It's just weird, because some days it's just all retweets of their remarks.

Sounds like her & Bristol Palin need to have their own special island for the reality challenged. Both of them are so out of touch that it's not even funny... it's pitiful. :-p
