I am not uber Anita Blake reader girl, but I was playing around on some fan sites and came across a bit of info that said if a vampire's human Servant dies, then the vamp dies? Wasn't Julianna Asher's Servant? Is this a mistake on the fansite or one of Laurell's oops moments?

I just thought it sounded like a cool idea, but it doesn't sound as though she's not using it much. Maybe a side-effect of her new tenent to never ever kill a character? Even if it would be kinda cool and at least something new to angst about?

Date: 2006-04-14 04:52 pm (UTC)Unfortunately Asher's angst reminds me of the icky pattern running in AB at the moment:
guy: (angst/whine)
Anita: (comfort/listen/understand/minimalizes her bitching)
guy: (is smitten)
love: (is there)
It's like a very bad fanfic Mary Sue. Speaking of which... since I only just stumbled into the existence of lkh fanfic and the whole julianna/asher/j-c triangle is amusing me at the moment... is there a place to read your write-up? I have a strange and unhealthy fascination with Mary Sues.
The idea of Julianna Reincarnata Sues doesn't surprise me. The fact that a few fanfic authors have managed to turn Anita into more of a Sue than she is in the books... that floored me.
