Dragoncon I am in you! I'm doing double the number of panels this year. Today at 2:30 it's just me, a microphone, & you! In the Westin Peachtree ballroom. I'll be talking about 20 years of Anita Blake, new Merry Gentry, & a special announcement!

Um... Does she think it's cute to make it sound like she's making love to the con? Because that's the impression she gives.

Dear Laurell: Please stop trying to be relevant with old memes.

Considering how often she's complained in the past about how strenuous panels and such are for her, I wonder if the fact that she's doing double this year is a result of her publisher saying "Your sales are flagging, and people don't like your attitude. Get out there and wow some people, mmkay?" It's not necessarily a bad thing. No matter what direction the books have taken, as an author she does have a great stage presence. It would just be nice if she could put the same enthusiasm into the books again.

When someone is at a convention and says they are doing a panel, I picture them and at least a few other people fielding questions from the audience and/or a moderator. If it's her alone, that's either a presentation or a Q and A.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if her "special announcement" is that new series she's already mentioned a few times.
