Agreed. It's cute. She looks a bit older and more matronly, which are probably words she doesn't want associated with her, but she also looks sweet, friendly, approachable, and happy about her books.

I thought the same thing. And then I wondered if this is what she's really like when she's not putting on her darkity-dark face for the public, and I kind of hoped so. As disgusted as I am with the books and as much as I roll my eyes at her twee antics, it'd be nice to think that she frigging stops all that when she's home with her family and is an actual happy, normal person. Awful books or not, I wouldn't wish the misery of living a 24/7 aging-twee lifestyle on anyone.
