New member here. *waves* [livejournal.com profile] windiain told me to post my recent Anita Blake dream here. So here I am ;)

I dreamed that a particularly nasty/powerful vampire was after Anita. One that she couldn't seduce, one that she couldn't win over. He just wanted her dead, no ifs or buts about it. Sort of like Edward, but in a vampire body.

So, for the first time in a very long time, Anita had to fight. Her crappy powers didn't work on him, so she was using her guns. He beat her up - blood, broken bits, what have you. At last, Anita figured that the only way she could take him down was to die herself.

She leaped off an apartment floor (outside) and shot him. Then just when she was falling to her death, she shot herself. And that was the last page of the book. LKH had finally decided to end Anita's misery and given her a blazing way to go out.

Would to God that the book was real.

Welcome, person who seems familiar from LJS-dom (?) =)

I don't know if Anita deserves that heroic of an ending. I'm bitter: I'd still like to see her ripped to pieces ;-)

But it sounds like an awesome fanfic though. (hint hint *g*)

Oh god, that's an improvement of a dream that I had a while back.

There was something magical in chocolate that made people eat themselves to death on said chocolate and Anita (which was being played by me, I am sad to admit) and Dolph was all, "No! She can't come into the crime scene! There's nothing strage at all about this!" And that's when Some Uniform points to the corpse and says this is the fifth one. And then I was looking at the body, I suggested raising a zombie...

...and mercifully I woke up from my nap, startled and totally weirded out.

Dwg, do you ever do the same book reviews for the Gentry series? I've been hearing all this stuff about the MG books, but I really didn't know what happened in book 4. I figure, that if the book sucks so dayum much, I sure as hell won't be buying it in hardback. Plus, the libraries around me suck hardcore. So yeah, I'm left floundering. All I know is that there's this new guy named Mistral and he used to be called Whisper. *sighs*

Spoilers wanted please.

The Plan: (because it's worthy of max caps) To tackle the MG books after I'm done with AB:VH. To give my brain a break, and alternate LKH books with not!LKH.

The Reality: Am halfway through Circus of the Damned, have been since my trip to Sydney in August last year. *facepalm* Also, MG4 sits unread on my bookshelf. It used to have a purpose, filling in the gap my Tanya Huff books left when I lent them to a friend, but now they're back, the book is just sitting there, useless.

After the whole Micah thing, I'm going to try and go back to CotD and read the AB books back-to-back and get them out of the way. Then it'll be MG's time.

So the short of it is this: yes, but probably not for a while. I can read a book in a week, so if I do this solidly every day, I should get to them in a couple of months.
