Smolder coming in 2023

LKH has been hinting she's through with Anita Blake Book 29 for about a month and has been updating her Twitter about her editing progress. Now it's got a listing on Amazon. It'll be on Kindle March 21, 2023. The title is Smolder, and the blurb is as follows:

First off, wedding of the century is probably way overblown, but aside from that I have the depressing hunch that MOAD is going to be back. Either that, or something even bigger and badder that will be defeated by sex or the power of love in an extremely unsatisfying climax. I am curious to see who the "lost love" is and if they're coming back from the dead. I'll order it when it has an audiobook and keep you all updated, since I have bad train wreck syndrome and I can't help myself. Let me know what you think of this latest development. My bet is on MOAD as the villain, but we'll see.

Let me thank you for your sacrifice in advance because despite being done with this series, I must admit to being very curious as to which love managed to escape enough to be described as "lost love."

No problem. XD I have to rage quit for a while sometimes, but I get through them eventually. It boggles the mind how this really interesting world can be squandered on sex. Every single book I'm like, this has a fantastic setup and no payoff. I actually like quite a few elements in her new series too but it's bogged down in the usual. It's a lack of respect for craft more than a lack of creativity. She could be really great if she wanted to be. She was really decent in the beginning.

I'm wondering if it's Richard being brought back into the fold. It could be someone who died and has been resurrected via either Anita's necromancy or the MOAD's. I don't know. I'm going to order the audiobook when it's available, but we won't know much more than this for a while.

Honestly, Richard was the only one I could think of who might've gotten away but it's been awhile since I read any of them so for all I know they all could've escaped at this point.

So much potential left for dead in her hands. Sigh.

Why pay her money if she's going to write porn when you want urban fantasy nor? https://onlinereadfreenovel.com All her books are on there so go grab them for free. On occasion I do find an author, I love, I hunt down their website or goodreads page and then buy it. If you keep paying her to write trash she'll keep doing it. Hit her where it hurts, the wallet! She's not respecting her readers at all and just writing tash to make a buck. She's also the reason I even thought about looking for books for free, she's got what 39 books now? I can't afford that many! (I like to buy a series in one go if I can.)

Also, I'm angry at her I loved Black moon Inn to death (that was my first one,) and read some more and it turned into a porn show in book forum?? Where's the awesome adventure? Where's the magic? Why's she so mean to women? My teenage self at that time was so happy. Her books do not age well. So disappointing. Forgive me for the link I'm not advertising so much as 'take that author!' but, LKH she's betrayed her fans. Somebody needs to say it.
