In a nutshell: What drives me nuts about Anita Blake is that every single issue she has is "solved" by giving her a new boyfriend. In the beginning, she had what could be seen as a prejudiced attitude toward vampires. This is solved by hooking her up with Jean-Claude. But Jean-Claude is a jerk. So we add in Richard. Richard wants a normal life, which Anita will never be able to achieve, due to her necromancy and a bunch of other stuff. For a short while, the tension between Richard and Jean-Claude acts as a metaphor for the tension between her desire for a normal life, and the fact that it can never happen.
But you can't keep the tension going indefinitely. It seems LKH's long term solution to this is to just add in a shit-load of men, so that if any one of them gets snarky about anything, Anita can spend some time with another one. In short, she is selling poly-amory as a solution to the complexities of relationships.
But even poly-amory has "relationship complexities". From what I understand, real-life poly-amorous relationships do not work the way Anita and the Rain of Men do. And instead of doing some research, or writing more adventure stuff (which is what we all started reading the series for in the first place), she accuses those of us who don't like what she's writing of being jealous. (See the Danse Macabre-flog for details; the short version is Ronnie objects to Anita's lifestyle, but it's only because she's jealous.)
I'm not jealous; I just miss the adventure stuff. If I want to read pr0n, I'll read something good. And why can't she admit that pr0n is all it is anymore?
And there's my 2 cents on Anita Blake.
