And so it begins...

Earlier, while I was watching a special on ghosts on the Travel Channel, I saw advertisements for Danse Macabre. During the breaks, the commercial circulated, and every time I saw it, I was sickened, and I felt a small part of me die. I hadn't realized that commercials for the damned thing had already began circulating, though I did hear about it awhile back in this community. I'm willing to bet that LKH is pleased that the book is getting TV exposure. *rolls eyes in disdain*
And I'm going to guess that with the commercials, obviously, the book is going to get even more attention, and garner even more fans, therefore attracting more sheep to LKH's garbage.
So...thoughts, anyone? Forgive me if this post isn't longer, but I'm feeling rather ill at the moment. This is just a something I thought I would post here.
Has anyone else seen the blasted commercials and had their stomachs turned as mine was by it all?

Date: 2006-07-16 03:55 pm (UTC)I've seen it for a handful of big-name crime thriller books -- James Patterson, Tom Clancy, et all. It's possible LKH thought that, since she's writing supernatural crime thrillers, her books should get the same treatment.
Which I'd be all for, if there was any crime in them anymore. besides the crime of being published
Or maybe the publicity dept came up with it. They might be aiming for a younger
less discriminatingaudience with the quality of the recent books, so TV spots would be a smart approach.no subject
