guess i wasn't paying much attention in the last book. I seriously think she should just dump Richard. They've argued too much and there is too much pain between them.

How messed-up that relationship is, how they can't accept what they are and how they still can't get over each other, is probably the most "realistic" (*cough*) part of the whole series (disregarding Richard's extraordinary equipment and those pesky little supernatural details, of course).

To recap, Anita gets spit-roasted, but Richard won't let JC feed because he only wants her to be thinking about HIS enormous wang, at which point JC points out Anita's "soft soft soft, so fucking soft" fetish, which apparently Richard never twigged to when they were dating.

Not in GP, no, but somehow, JC-as-relationship-counsellor is one of the few recent developments that work.
What I've just remembered is that this whole vampire mark thing is Richard's bloody fault anyway. Ha!
