Blessed Beltane, everyone! Hope you rekindle the fires of health, prosperity, & new growth in many areas! If you wish for fertility be specific about what kind of fertility you want. Not just new growth, but crops, or you might get weeds.

Blessed full moon, everyone! Had to take Trinity to a well doctor checkup today, and Jon is still laid up with the knee that went odd about a week okay. We'll know in a couple of days if he tore his meniscus, or if it's something else. They did up the pain meds, so hopefully he and I will both sleep better tonight. I've also been trying to finish edits on the novella. My sister, Chica, is back from the yellow ribbon ceremony, and settling into being a new Army wife. In the hurry of the day, I honestly forgot that it was Esbat, until the moon pushed her way through the clouds and glowed for me. The full moon was so bright it cast oblongs through the windows making moon shadows on the floor. Sometimes I forget that the moon casts shadows just like the sun does, and what is moonlight but reflected sunshine saved up and given to us when all else is dark. I needed that tonight, thank you Goddess, thank you God, for reminding me that there is beauty and light.

Thanks for all the well wishes for Jon's knee. We saw the orthopedist today, and the good news is, the meniscus isn't torn. Yay! The bad news is that there is a small piece of something (the doctor thinks cartilage) that's come loose from somewhere & is now lodged in the joint, preventing it from bending completely. *ouch* Jon is scheduled for surgery next week.

The toads in our water garden are serenading me as I type this, reminding me that is spring and love is in the air, or in the pond. I'm going to gently love my husband and take him to bed. I am reminded that our first date was supposed to be dinner and a movie, but ended up being a trip to the emergency room, because he blew his knee out before I got there to pick him up. Instead of him getting me flowers, I got to get him crutches. It was a memorable first date. :-)

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! As a member of the religion that St. Patty was supposed to have kicked out of Ireland I have mixed feelings about the holiday, but since here in America it's just an excuse to get drunk, pretend we're all Irish, and that we know what leprechauns really do, wear silly head gear, and eat green food, I'm okay with it. There is also the added benefit that St. Pat would probably hate the holiday as celebrated here, and totally not approve - perfect! Everyone be safe, and celebrate responsibly.

Jon sitting on the bed, drinking first coffee of the day. Me, lying with my head in his lap. The sound of the ocean whispering & shushing on the beach. When the coffee is done, time for showers. Yay, spring break.

So Laurita's blog of May 2 is an archetypical example of some of our most beloved parts of the LKH blog experience.

1. Too much information
2. Wicca-wank
3. The Foose.

LKH is in italics I am in plain.

LKH in blockquote. I'm the one giving the rambling commentary with references to previous blogs. So it's kinda like a blogflog-o-rama here.

Squirrels are birds now. LKH says so. )

Part the two of all this is actually Darla's return to the blog! Yay, Darla! I missed her. No, really.

So Darla decides to debate what Christmas REALLY is/was before the Christian takeover. While I normally agree with her debate, a lot of the things she says are really.... pointless. So let us look at how Darla Dear debates something that is probably not going to change on whole, and cause a lot of Christians to have a go at her.
