30 pages for the day in three sessions of 12, 13, & 5. Still not completely out of this section of plot. Was hoping to finish before bed, but I give, need dinner, but the muse & I have played happily today. I still got to have lunch with my husband, Jon, and went to MMA class. Also, Dancing, the new Anita Blake e-special came out today! Thanks for all the great comments, everyone! Glad you are all enjoying it!

You can order Dancing from Amazon or Barnes & Noble

To top the day off I was in Jennie Breeden’s comic, The Devil’s Panties

This has been a wildly productive & truly awesome day!

This is Jon's youtube account and on it he has a 14 part Q&A with Laurell on her tour with Bullet.  Thought this might be an interesting watch for everyone (if you can survive all 14 parts).

Updated with the Q&A summary in the comments

We also went out and saw a movie that early evening: STARDUST. We both liked it a great deal. Some of the adds are making it seem more epic movie, and there is a slice of LORD OF THE RINGS in there, but there is a bigger slice, if I had ot pick a movie it felt like of THE PRINCESS BRIDE. But, of course, it's based on a Niel [sic] Gaiman book so it is most certainly it's own unique creation. Niel's having a heck of a year with this movie and BEOWULF, which he co-wrote the screen play to, and either later this year or early next is CORALINE based on the book of the same name. He was a very busy boy at comcicon in San Diego with all the promotional stuff. We finally got to sit down and talk for a few minutes over food at comicon. Seems like we've spent years being at the same conventions, or events, and always saying, wouldn't it be nice if we could talk, or have dinner, but we always seem to be scheduled opposite each other. It was nice to finally carve some time out.

Oh yes.  Can't you imagine Neil crying softly into his leather jacket, because he had not spent time with LKH?  The fact that he writes about her in his blog exactly zero times clearly indicates that he is awed by her enormous ego talent.  /sarcasm.

Title: Comic Con Part Q
Admission: Not my best flog ever. But… poor Neil!

The entry in which LKH brags yet again about being at Comic Con. And breaks my heart a little.

The three [movies] that I'm aware of are: Stardust, Beowulf, and Coreline. They are not so accidentally all Neil Gaiman projects. Two based on his books and one he co-wrote the screenplay for. Why are we aware of those movies more than others? We've actually spoken with Neil, and he and I share an agent.

I. What. Huh? (And it's Coraline, by the way. From what I can remember, Neil said it was supposed to be "Caroline" but he kept mistyping it so he just went with it.)

They've spoken with Neil? The man drips awesomeness. If she's spoken with him, how did she not manage to catch even a bit of awesomeness?

She and Neil share an agent? How? Is it to balance out the sheer awesomeness of Neil? DOES NOT COMPUTE. Neil is actually a WRITER. Go look at his blog. He makes even the most everyday things like walking his dog seem magical. I'm sure even his grocery lists are things of beauty. He reads. He writes. He collaborates. He doesn't use some lame-ass Ivory Tower defence when the real world doesn't go his way. He is, from every account I've encountered, not just a great writer, but a fine human being.

I admit, I died a little when I read the Neil part of the blog. I mean, if she somehow did not manage to capture even an ounce of Neil's awesomeness just by being in the same space, what if she accidentally infected him?

ETA: I guess there's one saving grace. I've yet to see a Neil Gaiman endorsement on any of her books.
